refugee

We are Tuesday March 7, 1971, my name is Anjali and i from India. i want leave in Menton because of poverty and the war with the Pakistan. I decided to leave because I live every day in anguish because of the gunshots. In addition, my mother was killed by one of the soldiers, and my father and brother had to go and fight. My father came back early because he was wounded in the trenches and my brother came back with one less leg. I don’t want to stay here anymore… I offered to join me, but they did not want to because they do not want to leave their native country and would like to heal to continue fighting It scares me because I do not want to see them die. It is March 10 and it is the day of departure. For weeks I saved money so I could buy a boat ticket to Menton. I can’t wait to be there!!
