Carnival party!

We read the story of the Venice Carnival which is celebrated at least since 1094 and we learnt the three types of masks:

• Bauta

• Gnaga

• Moretta

We also learnt about the Angel’s flight or Colombina (little dove) flight.

We prepared our Venice Masks,

we coloured them with our favourite colours and cut them.

After that we glued a straw, to keep it on our faces with our hands…

… and we wore them at our school party!!!

We also read a story about King Carnival a rich, powerful and very kind king. 

His subjects didn’t respect him so he started eating more and more.

His sister Quaresima heped him in his last days and she would have become queen after his death.

He died on the Shrove Tuesday and Quaresima became queen.

We also prepared some Chinese masks

because on the 10th of February,

the Chinese New Year was Celebrated!

This is the Dragon’s Year!!

We had a Supercool school party!

We ate Pizza and sweets!

We drank Coke and orange juice…

… and we played, danced and sang!!!

It was Super Fun!!
