2nd Grade Science Lesson

To Educators:

This book is primarily geared towards 1st and 2nd Grade. This lesson is fully focused on the basics of a plant. This includes the parts of a plant, the life cycle of a plant, functions of the parts of a plant, and how to grow your own plant! This lesson also includes very basic vocabulary words to slowly introduce to your students through the videos and worksheets.

Includes: videos, additional activity for in class or homework, and discussion questions to follow the lesson with.

Lesson Objectives:

1. Students can identify the different basic parts of a plant.
2. Students can describe the jobs of the different parts.
3. Students will begin to understand the basics of the life cycle of plants.
4. Students will understand how to care for a plant by planting a plant within the classroom.

2. List the steps for how to grow your own plant.

4. Write down one word from the Life Cycle of a Plant picture and write down what you think the word means.
