Aphrodite is the ancient Greek goddess of love, beauty, and desire. She is one of the twelve Olympian deities and is often associated with the Roman goddess Venus. Aphrodite’s origins vary in different myths; one version says she was born from the sea foam when the Titan Cronus severed Uranus’ body parts and threw them into the ocean. In another version, she is the daughter of Zeus and Dione.
