VIENNA STATE OPERA

The Vienna State Opera  is a historic opera house and opera company based in Vienna, Austria. The 1,709-seat Renaissance Revival venue was the first major building on the Vienna Ring Road.The Vienna State Opera is one of the leading establishments for opera in the world. 

  • Monday to Saturday: 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Sundays and holidays: Closed
  • Performances usually begin at 7:00 PM, but matinees may start earlier, often around 3:00 PM

IMPERİAL PALACE

The Hofburg is the former principal imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty in Austria. Located in the centre of Vienna, it was built in the 13th century and

expanded several times afterwards. the Imperial Palace now houses various museums and the Spanish Riding School. 

General Visiting Hours:

  • Daily: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (last admission at 5:00 PM)

Specific Areas:

  • Sisi Museum: Typically open from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

ST.CHARLES CHURCH

 

the symbol of Vienna and Austria’s most important Gothic building holds a series of artistic treasures, some of which can be viewed on a tour: e.g. the tomb of Emperor Friedrich III, the Vienna Neustadt altar, the catacombs, the Pummerin – Austria’s largest bell, etc. Standing at 136 meters (446 ft) tall and affectionately referred to by the city’s inhabitants as “Steffl” , St. Stephen’s Cathedral’s massive south tower is its highest point and a dominant feature of the Vienna skyline.

With its collection of important works and the world’s largest Bruegel collection, the KHM is one of the most significant art collections in the world. CİTY HALL PARK

City Hall Park is the seat of local government of Vienna, located on the Rathausplatz in the Innere Stadt district. The park has a symmetrical layout and lies between the University and Parliament. The two halves of the park are separated by City Hall Square, where events are held almost all year round.

BURGTHEATER

The building on the Ring was built between 1874 and 1888 according to plans by Gottfried Semper and Karl von Hasenauer. The theater opened on 14 March 1741 and remains one of the leading establishments for German-language theater productions today.

JUDENPLATZ

Judenplatz is a town square in Vienna’s Innere Stadt that was the center of Jewish life and the Viennese Jewish Community in the Middle Ages.  Judenplatz is considered to be a unique place of remembrance, a combination of Rachel Whiteread’s memorial, the excavations of the medieval synagogue and a museum on medieval Judaism.In the center of the southern end of the square is the monument to the German poet Gotthold Ephraim Lessing created by Siegfried Charoux.In the middle of the northern end of the square, the Judenplatz Holocaust Memorial stands for the Austrian Jewish victims of the Shoah.

HOHER MARKT

Imperial Carriage Museum  (Kaiserliche Wagenburg Wien)

 

he Imperial Carriage Museum (Wagenburg) is located in the Schönbrunn Palace complex and showcases an impressive collection of royal carriages, sleighs, and ceremonial vehicles. SCHÖNBRUNN ZOO

Schönbrunn Zoo is a 17-hectare (42-acre) zoo in the city of Vienna, Austria. Established in 1752, it is the world’s oldest zoo still in operation. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, being a part of the Schönbrunn Palace gardens.It generally receives more than 2 million visitors every year.

As of 2021, it presented a total of 707 different species with around 8,250 specimens. Its primary attractions include the giant pandas, being one of only 27 zoos in the world to house them.

GLORİETTE

The largest and probably best-known gloriette is in the Schönbrunn Palace garden in Vienna. Built in 1775 as the last building constructed in the garden according to the plans of Austrian imperial architect Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg as a “temple of renown” to serve as both a focal point and a lookout point for the garden, it was used as a dining hall and festival hall as well as a breakfast room for emperor Franz Joseph I.

SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE (CONCERT PLACE)

The Labyrinthikon play area has a host of amusements for children. Schönbrunn Palace is the summer palace of the Habsburg Dynasty in Vienna , the capital of Austria . The construction of Schonbrunn Palace and its gardens was only completed between 1744 and 1749 by Empress Maria Theresia .The impressive maze in the palace gardens has been recreated according to historical plans from the year 1698. The labyrinth offers 2,700 m2 of outdoor entertainment for visitors of all ages.
