Mimicry is one of the greatest marvels of evolution. It helps simple small ants, fish, reptiles and amphibians hide from hungry predators. Now I will tell you about Giant leaf insect.

Leaf insects, any of more than 50 of flat, usually green insects that are known for their striking leaflike appearance. They are usually feed on plants and typically inhabit densely vegetated ares. Their natural habitats are islands in Indian Ocean, parts of mainland South Asia and Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea and Australiain the western Pacific.

The Giant leaf insects can reachs from 28 to 100 mm in body lenght. Femails bigger than males and may exceed 100 mm. Also females have large forewings that lie edge to edge on the abdomen. They don`t have hind wings and flightless because of that. The male, by contrast, has small forewings and non-leaflike and functional hind wings.

All in all, every animal is specaial, but animals like Giant leaf insect more special because of their unique appearance. Nature is an incredible creator.
