Buttons and the Missing Sock 🧦🐱

Buttons was a little kitten who loved socks.
Red socks, blue socks, even polka-dot socks!
But one morning, something was wrong.
“One of my socks is missing!” cried Buttons.

Buttons searched under the bed.
He found a toy mouse, three crayons, and a cookie crumb…
…but no sock.

He looked inside the laundry basket.
“Sniff, sniff,” he said. “Pee-ew! Not my sock.”
Only stinky towels were there.

Buttons tiptoed into the garden.
“Maybe the wind carried it away,” he thought.
Instead, he found a butterfly sitting on a flower.
“Have you seen my sock?” asked Buttons.
The butterfly giggled and flew off.

At last, Buttons spotted something wiggly.
A tiny mouse was running—
—with the missing sock on its tail!
“Come back!” laughed Buttons.

The mouse squeaked, “It’s so warm! I just wanted to borrow it.”
Buttons smiled. “You can borrow it… but next time, just ask.”
And so, Buttons and the mouse became the best of friends.
