Dr. Andy Curtis is My New BFF

Today I met Dr. Andy Curtis for the first time. We hit it off. We are both ex-scientists. We are both passionate about education. We are both mis-fish. We had to answer to challenges in our childhood. We both love creativity.

Andy is easy to please. I invited him to lunch. He chose Cofix, which is the Israeli coffee house chain which has taken the country by storm. Over 120 branches. Everything for 5 NIS (Less than a British pound!).

Coffee? 5 NIS! Sandwich 5 NIS! Desert 5NIS!

Andy was my cheapest lunch date in years. Make that decades. So I invited Hagai Cohen too.

We talked about flying machines, slide rules, and the basis for creativity. You know, regular stuff.

Soon, it was time to go back to our Etai conference.

I made a new BFF in Ashkelon. Who knows, I might even let him give my Pecha Kucha presentation this evening!! Now wouldn’t that be something?
