Intro to boundaries
Plate boundaries are where two or more tectonic plates meet. There are three types of boundaries divergent, convergent, and transform. These boundaries can cause earthquakes, make volcanoes, create mountains, canons, create & destroy the seafloor and more. But how do they move? And which one does what? It is time to find out in The Earth’s plate boundaries.

Divergent
The divergent boundary is when the plates move away from each other in opposite directions. An example of a divergent boundary is in the East Africa Rift valley. This boundary creates volcanoes because when they separate it releases magma that then cools and becomes a volcano. It also creates mid-ocean ridges, ocean floors, and deep ocean trenches

Convergent
The convergent boundary is when a plate go & under another. A real life example of this is near ST. Luica. Around these boundaries the Earthquakes are deeper and there is more volcanic activity in these areas. This boundary creates volcanoes, mountains, faults, and islands. This also destroy the ocean floor.

Transform
The transform boundary is when two boundaries pass side by side in a horizontal line. A real life example of this boundary is in california near L.A. and San Francisco. It creates mid-ocean ridges, earthquakes, volcanoes, and it can also appear near divergent boundaries.
