How am I Floating?

Suddenly, my friend asked us.. How are we floating? How do objects sink? How do objects float?

Let’s surf the internet to find the answer!

WHY?

First, Density – Density is how heavy an object is for its volume.

Thus, item will float if it is LIGHT for its volume.

Second, Compare the volume and the mass.

Objects that float are less Dense than the same amount of water!

   The wood is less dense (lighter ) than the same amount of water.

SO the wood will Float!

Third, Objects that SINK are more Dense than the same amount of water!

This means the metal is more dense ( heavier) than the same amount of water.

So the metal will SINK!

So let us see..

Finally, we  floated because we were less dense than the same amount of water. Plus

The water mattress helped too!

Moreover,air is LESS dense than water. So it floats!
