Using Punctuation

There are various different types of punctuation.  Some examples of different types of punctuation are as follows, period, exclamation point, question mark and coma as well as many others.

We use a period when stating something such as: Sally went to the store to get milk.

We use a question mark when asking a question such as: What is the first step to the scientific method?

We use an exclamation point when exclaiming something such as:  I received an A on my English test!

We use quotation marks when quoting some one such as:  Lisa said, “I like dogs.”
