A shark is a very special kind of fish. Sharks look like normal fishes but they are at bigger sizes.
Like other fishes, they all have gills and tails.
Fishes have small teeth, but sharks have sharp and big teeth.
There are more than 400 different sharks specias. Some of them are hammerhead, makos and sand tigers.

Sharks live almost in all oceans in the World but usually in warm water. They can live both deep and shallow water.
Sharks differ in size from less than 60 cm to 18 meters. Large sharks may weigh more than 11,800 kg.
All sharks are carnivores. They have sharp teeth to tear the flesh of their prey. They usually eat other fishes. Some sharks eat also other sharks

Sharks have very good hearing and sense of smell. They can hear the things or smell the blood in the water from kilometers away.
The name of the baby shark is pup. Sharks have their babies, or “pups,” in different ways. Some lay egg cases. Some grow the pups inside of them and give birth to live young.
Sharks usually live 20-30 years in the wild.
