GREEDY JACK

Once upon a time, there was a boy called Jack. He was really greedy. He always wanted more and more.

One day his father asked him not to be greedy because he knew that something terrible might happen to Jack someday. So he made a plan.

He asked his neighbour , Mary , for help. She was going to hide behind a tree near the lake and act like a fairy.

A day later, Jack’s father asked him to go to the lake and get some water. He went to the lake.

While he was filling his bucket with water , a sound came behind the trees.

”Hello Jack, I’m the fairy of this forest. I can give you whatever you want!”

”What? Are you real?”

”Yes I am.” Mary said.

”I want a new pair of shoes!”

Mary asked him to close his eyes. When Jack opened his eyes , he saw a new pair of shoes.

”I want more, fairy. I want 5 dollars” he shouted.

”Close your eyes” she said. When Jack opened his eyes , he saw 5 dollars on the ground.

Jack asked more and more. Mary was expecting that. ”Close your eyes” she said.

When Jack opened his eyes ; his bucket, the shoes and the money were gone.

He came back home. He was about to cry. His father came to his room holding the bucket,  the shoes and the money.

”How did you find them ?” Jack asked.

”Mary brougt them. What happened to you was planned by me” his father said.

Jack was shocked.

”I asked our neighbour ,Mary, for help so that you could see the end of a greedy person. She acted like a fairy and she acted really good. Don’t be greedy. You may lose everything you have someday. Always be content with what you have.”

Jack apologised. ” I won’t be greedy anymore , I promise.”

He kept his promise and lived happily forever.
