Leaving the platform as is:

  • Create a service that would allow users to create a down-loadable version of their book that they could share
  • Create a service that would promote authors books to publishing houses.

But

this would probably not manage to accomplish all of the goals we require. That is why we propose to adjust the product as follows.

3

Target specific Audience

Target schools and mold the platform to a more educational friendly environment and sell the service of the platform to schools. This would require:

  • Migrate to a wiki based platform
  • provide the service of also the service of creating pdf down-loadable files the professor’s and or teachers could share with their notes and class materials
  • Create competitions for students to write books, or projects set by their professors

Then would would promote this service towards schools of lower education to begin with. And also provide the opportunity for schools to partner up allowing the students to experience a safe multi-cultural community.

4

Migration of Platform

To realize the idea we have stated above we believe that the current platform would not be sufficient, due to lack of security and services as chat, comment, rate, personalization of space for each school etc.

The structure we would recommend is the following where by there is a common master area available to all. But Whenever a school signs up we provide them with their own private space where only their students and teaching staff would have access to it. The main Goal of this platform would be the promotion of single and group projects of published writing, where the students could get feedback and ratings not only from their teachers but also their peers

5

Create Competitions

Establish periodic competitions for all the community and schools would be able to decide whether to compete or not. Such competitions could could vary from stories to poetry but would also have the effect of promoting literature, in every form.

6

Content Safety

Upon sign-up the schools will have to agreed to a content agreement. For each school the teachers would be accountable for the content of the books their children write and would be able to remove them. If books are found that do not agree with the aforementioned document regarding the content, then there would have to be some sort of penalization method.

7

Partner up with foundations

Partner up with foundations as for example the Lauder School foundation, which after starting to support schools around eastern Europe, which wants to bring all these schools together. This platform could help accomplish that, as schools could meet other schools and possible create a shared page where students could start sharing with the students from other schools, rate, etc.

8

Possible future steps

  • Allow professors to add their class notes which he could then share with their students in book form.
  • When books are really good promote them to publishers after the authors consent.
