Rapunzel or the young Princess of the modern time

Far away, not so long time ago, a kind Witch made a deal with a lovely Queen. She promised a wonderful future for her little girl, Rapunzel, but she asked a favor. « I want a castle and an army, my dear Queen », said the Witch., « I need to protect my child too… »

The Queen accepted, but her husband refused, and he decided to kill the Witch. He was not a good King. He was sly, wicked and cruel. The Witch knew it. But she couldn’t protect her son. And the King killed him.

The Witch, furious, came to see the Queen. The beautiful woman was crying. « I’m sorry, Witch. It’s my fault. I’m sorry. Take my child. It’s not safe for her anymore. I trust you, you are a very good mother… Promise me to keep her safe. »

The Witch accepted and decided to leave this world for a new one, where the little Princess will be protected and safe.

After this, not far away, The Witch bought a HLM and she saw the little girl becoming an amazing young woman with a long, long, blond hair, like the Queen.

But, everyday, she asked her « Mother » :

« Mother, can I go outside ? »

And the Witch said, as usual :

« No, my angel. The world is dangerous. Very, very dangerous. Going outside is not a good idea… »

Then the Witch had gone to work. And Rapunzel waited.

But, one day, when she opened the windows, she met a nice young man.

And, everyday, she spoke with him and fell in love with him. He was her Prince.

« Rapunzel, come over here and run away with me ! », screamed the young men.

« I want to… But it’s not right. This house protected me from the world. »

« Rapunzel, let me show you the real world. I can change your mind ! »

Her « Mother » came back to the appartment and she was looking for her « daughter ». And, for a while, she believe she had been killed, like her little son before. But Rapunzel came back, with a big smile on the face.

« Mummy ! », surprised her.

« Why ? You didn’t listen your Mother !! I said a lot of times ‘Don’t go outside’, and you… »

« No, Mummy ! Outside, it’s wonderful ! It’s amazing ! I need to see more ! »

« You can’t see more of this world. »

« Why not ? »

« Because it’s not your world. And it’s not safe ! I promised the Queen, your real mother, to keep you safe from your father ! Because he was a monster ! »

« But my father is not here. And, like you say, it’s not my world. »

The young Princess was right.

Now, she live with her husband and her son, and they discover the world everyday : Tokyo, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Brazilia, etc…

The Witch returned to her real world and she toll everything to the Queen, who is now the kindest grandmother in this world.
