The Girl Who Decides When to Talk

Adi is 15 years old.

Adi is a special need child.

Since Adi was small, Adi chose when to talk

and with whom to talk to.

She began talking when she was a year old.

She knew a few words in English.

Then when she was three years old she started learning Hebrew.

She always knew and felt that she was different.

So since she was in kindergarden

She spoke with the kids,

but when she was asked a direct question

by one of the adults in a group she kept silent.

It’s like she never wanted people to know that she is different.
