The world is not always as it seems. We are ruining it so much without our awareness. We are going to show  the real world that also has some bad things that are hidden and that we don’t know about.

air pollution

One of the most common problem is air pollution. Air pollution is due to smoke that comes from factories, vehicles, bonfires, industry and also smoking. We can feel the air pollution when we breath and it is dangerous. A lot of people are sick from those things exactly and they can die from it. We need to turn off lights and other electronic devices. It will save money and electricity. We can also travel in public transportation, ride a bike, do carpools, or walk to close places. All of these small things can make a difference and we need to keep doing them.

pick up rubbish

You probably where in places where you saw rubbish on the ground. People throw a lot of rubbish not in trashcans and it is bad. There are things that are not a problem to throw because they biodegrade in not a lot of time- like food, but some things are going to take thousands of years to degrade and it is very bad and makes the environment ugly. Also, there are things that when they degrade some of the materials in the product go in the ground and ruin the groundwater,  the trees routs and generally the ground. So to avoid these problems, we need to throw rubbish into trashcans. When you see trash on the ground, you should pick it up and throw it to the trashcans- always think of the next people that will come after you.

recycle

When you throw trash to the trashcan, it helps but its better to recycle. When you throw trash to the recycling bins, people make from it new things, for example: from recycled paper you can make cardboard or new paper. In the blue bin you throw paper and thin cardboard, the orange bin is for empty packaging that is not glass, the purple bin for glass, and the rest goes to the green bin. There are also places with bins or bag for clothes and battery’s. From the normal trashcans, the rubbish gets to places where its berried or burned. This wastes a lot of electricity and it makes a lot of air pollution.

paper

We use paper so many times a day and we dont know what the consequences are. Paper is made from many trees. The trees dissapear faster and faster every year. In Israel, there are no big forests and we cut down trees very fast. The paper is a very important resource and it’s dissapearing. To help you can do those things: recycle paper, use recycled paper, use both sides of the paper, use the extra papers from the notebooks, write small, or just generally use less paper.

don’t buy too much

Right now, in China, there are thousands of children, starving, thirsty and tired from all the hard work they have been doing for not a lot of money so they will have what to eat, only so we could get our toys! and we through them away a few days later, when we don’t care about them anymore! Do you understand all of this? And you would think that after you stop using the product, it goes to China or somewhere else for other people, but actually only 1% of the products go to people who really need them! So before you buy something new, think one second about those poor children. Think if you really need another toy or more clothes.

save water

Water is something we use everyday and it is important for our lives. For the most part, we don’t give enough importance to water. In most places, even in our country, we don’t have a lot of water. Here, there is one big source of water that supplies drinking water to the whole country- the Kinneret. It is very small so we need to save water or we will not have enough water to drink. We are using our water so fast. The Kinneret is getting smaller and smaller everyday- and in some point in time the Kinneret will be gone. Now, what you can do to save the Kinneret is: turn off the water after using it, wash the car with a bucket of water, don’t use a lot of water in the shower, turn off the water when you brush your teeth, or every other small thing that can save water.

Population growth

Every year, the population of Israel and abroad is growing, along with industry and construction. Over time, technology is developing and the amount of product production is increasing. As the population grows, factories produce more, many buildings are built, and the amount of pollution is increasing. For example, the chimneys in Hadera produce electricity in quantities and emit much smoke. It pollutes the air very much and its hard to live in Hadera because of it. You can help by consuming less power and energy, buying only things that you really need and recycle them after using. This can greatly help!
