Why is it important to learn English?

It is believed that today 7,099 languages are spoken in the world.

That number is constantly in flux, because we’re learning more about the world’s languages every day. And beyond that, the languages themselves are in flux. They’re living and dynamic, spoken by communities whose lives are shaped by our rapidly changing world.

So why is English so important?

English is the universal language or the most commonly used language nowadays. How would it be possible for us to communicate with other nationalities if we don’t speak English?
