Moon phases

I will be talking about the phases of the moon.

The phases of the moon are:

• new moon
• waxing crescent
• first quarter
• waxing gibbous
• full moon
• waning gibbous
• last quarter
• waning crescent

It takes 27.3 days to spin all the way around on its axis

The moons revolution length is 29.5 days

The moon´s features are maria and craters.

Craters are large indents in the moon´s surface made by asteroids hitting the moon.

The maria are the dark parts of the moon.
