I have to admit that work as a lifeguard’s was truly enjoyable and it was the best period in my life till nowadays.

My first job was at “DAN” Tel-Aviv hotel, which is very expensive and prestigious hotel. There were two kinds of clients in the hotel’s pool, first are the guests of the hotel and second are the members of the pool and gym only.

Every member of the pool has his specific complaints about the service in the hotel, still it is Israelis we talking about, but one particular member, will call him Shimon for the story, was quiet and never complaint about a thing, also he was very old and not so clearly minded.

So, one day Shimon come to the pool with his usual white robe, he begin to undress the robe and what we, the lifeguards, noticed? Shimon have no swim shorts. The rule in Israel is that you can’t get in to the pool nude and In addition there are kids in the pool, so I run to Shimon as fast as I can but I felt uncomfortable to tell him “hey Shimon where is your swim shorts?” so I tried to hint it in a kind way that he forgot the swim shorts. Of course he didn’t understand what I want from him and looked at me like I am the crazy one. Eventually I told him directly: “Shimon where is your swim shorts?” so he moves he’s eyes down and was shocked that he is nude, and then he told me : “Sorry young man but I really forgot to put on my swim shorts.”, my belly almost explode because I controlled myself not to laugh.

Of course after he noticed the problem he returns to his house to put some shorts and comes back to the pull with the shorts.

And that was a day in an Israeli lifeguard.
