My Very Watery Journey by Katie - Ourboox.com

I am called Cule which is short for molecule because that is what I am, a water molecule.  I live in the ocean as a liquid and I have my whole life.  I have heard the stories of other molecules getting so hot that they evaporate and fly.  Others have been frozen solid as they go north.  Someday I hope to do all of these things and more.

Three days later…….

I can feel the heat energy taking me up, up, up!  My adventure has finally began and I guess that I will start is as a vapor.  I don’t know anyone else up here but I wish I did as I start to feel sick.  Gravity is making me heavy as all of the molecules start to condense.  Then I descended for what seemed to last forever.  Being precipitation would be fun if I wasn’t motion sick.  Finally I land in something, I think it is a lake because I do not feel the water flow swiftly.  This water is still and fresh.

Oh no, I am get washed up on the shore and sink into the soil.  In the soil is where I go through the process of transpiration.  I travel up through the plants roots and go the the leaves of this nightshade bush.  Then along comes a rabbit who eat up the leaf I am on.  The rabbit then steps on a trap and spits me out while doing fast respiration really in its attempt to escape.  I land on the soil and stay there till night.  Around seven o’clock it starts to ran and I become runoff and go into a nearby stream.

It gets colder and I get slower until finally I stop.  I am a solid, frozen to my core.  A human comes along and picks me off of the other frozen molecules and throws me high.  On top of a tree I land.

Spring is coming and I warm up.  I am above most of other molecule so I turn into the fog, I am going through sublimation.

I travel again…

A stormy day is what you would call today.  I just call it a travel day.

I landed on the soil and filtered into the ground water.  On that same day I was pulled up from a well.  I was put in a glass and drank.  Later that day I was excreted and was flushed down the toilet.  It was a long way through a pipe but finally I was dropped into a large body of water.  The I heard my name, “Cule, Cule!”  It was my mom, I am back home in the ocean where I began.

THE END
