A true rescue story
Twin towers rescue.
It was Tuesday, September 11, 2001.
Terrorists stole a plane and crashed into the Twin Towers in New York City.
Many people were inside the towers. Policemen and firemen came to rescue them.
They entered the burning, smoke-filled buildings, risked their lives, and took out thousands of people.
About 3,000 people died and some of them were policemen and firefighters who tried to save people in the towers.
I read about this story in my English book: “WAY TO GO”.

A true rescue story
In the Holocaust there was a German named Kortzbach who was drafted into the army.
His job was to manage a factory for repairing military vehicles.
During the Holocaust he hid many Jews in the factory and saved them from death and an aktion.
He risked his life to save the Jews.
Following testimonies of Jews who survived, Kortzbach was awarded the title of “HASID UMOT HA’OLAM” in 2011.
I read about the rescue story at Ha’aretz website.
