when the war had just finished, there was heavy movement of passenger in the ocean to get accommodation was hard to get and you could not decide with how you will be at the room.

when i found out with who im sharing a cabin i was happy. i felt relief because he was british too.

my first meeting with my roommate, was at the smoking room. i joind him for cards game . we played solitaire and i showed him card tricks.

and we had a indroductory talk. . i offer him alcoholic beverage despite the Prohibition laws in the U.S. territory, and we continue to talk. i invited my friend to alcoholic beverage too ‘ and told my roommate that i already saving hima a place at the dining room.

At meal time, we sat around the table me, my roommate, the doctor and ramsay couple.

mr. ramsay is working at the American Consulate in Japan and mrs. ramsay is shy and modest.

It was very nice and we had small talk.

One night Big debate began. Me and Mr. Ramsey started arguing about Cultured pearls the Japanese began to produce.

I was World Pearl expert, and i looked at the Pearl Necklace-wearing Mrs Ramsa.

This necklace had a high value. Contrary to what i said, Mr. Ramsey sad that the pearl don’t real.

Me and  Mr. Ramsey decided to bet if the pearls real or no.

Mrs. Ramsey Trying to dissuade her husband bet but he refuses to give up.

I asked from Mrs. Ramsey to let me her necklace,so i can examine her.

Mrs. Ramsay pales hides the necklace in her dress and pretend that she can’t open her clsat.

Mr. Ramsay was unaware for his wife try to not check the necklace.

He went to his wife and, open the clast and give it to me.

I took a magnifying glass.

I looked closer at the pearls, and understand that i was right.

I looked at Mrs.Ramsey face ans saw that she was nerves.

Mrs.Ramsey did not notice that we looked at each other and i decided to nos said the truth, that the pearls are real far saving their marriage.

I announced that i was wrong and i give 100 dollars to MR.Ramsey. when i  give him the money’ he told me : “Next time don’t be so confident”.

Next morning, there was an envelope in my room. i could’nt seen from who it was’ but Inside the envelope was 100 dollars.

I I tore the envelope to shreds and threw them in the sea.
