It was right after the war, i needed to take a ship from San Frannsisco to Yokohama to see my wife who I didn’t saw since the start of the war.
It was hard to find an accommodation for your self on the ship because the passenger traffic in the ocean-going liners was heavy. But I was really lucky because found a room with two beds just for myself.

I’ve got into my room and it was really small and I was glad that I don’t have a room-mate. then I went to the toilet and I found out that actually I have a room-mate, a big, nasty rat! I took a shoe out of my suit case and smashed it.

In the next morning I went to the dining room. The breakfast was pretty good, and that was a huge surprise because i thought there is going to be a small meal.

Two people sat at my table. they were good friends. one of them was tall, good looking and nice man and the other one was short, pretty ugly and really annoying. so I decided that next time i’ll sit with someone else.

At dinner I sat alone and in the table next to me few people were argue about pearls or something so I listened. I understood that it was about someone necklace but I didn’t here them well.

I was interested in their conversation so I went to sit with them. I told them about myself and what I’m doing on the ship.

Every one of them told me a little about himself, and after that they continued their conversation.
I didn’t like Mr. Ramsey he was very arrogant for my opinion and he thought he knows a lot in some subjects.
Mrs. Ramsey was really pretty with pleasant manners and she looked like a really nice person.
The doctor sat quietly most of the time and wasn’t really listening to the argument.
I understood everyone is calling Mr Kelada ‘Mr. know all’ and I understood why. He reminded me a little Mr. Ramsey, he always needed to be right and he was explaining himself till the others would agree with him.

During the dinner me and Mr. Kelada became friends.
At the end of the Mill Mr. kelada given up and admitted that he was wrong and that Mr. Ramsey is right.
It looked weird for me because they he admitted sounded weird to me, It sounded like he doesn’t really understand that he is wrong, like he lying because someone forced him to.
I went to sleep and In the next day I asked him “what happened yesterday at dinner?”
and he told me the whole thing. he was really lying for Mrs. Ramsey because she were lying to her husband and she didn’t want him to know.
Since then me and Mr. Kelada are really good friend and we keeping on a good connection.
