General Information
over 8 million people live in London. According to the 2011 census 36.7% of London’s population are foreign-born which makes London the city with the second largest immigrant population, behind New York City.
London’s population makes it the largest city in the United Kingdom and the second most populous in Europe.
London’s population grows every year in a result of the arrival of almost 200,000 people from overseas each year, and an average of 130,000 births a year. The Office For National Statistics says that because of the overseas arrivals and high birth rate London’s population could reach 9.8 million by 2025.

Religion
London has traditionally been Christian and the largest religious groupings are Christians. Englans has a large number of churches, especially in the City of London. But there are also other religious in London beside christian, for example: Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism, Buddhism and more.
Islam is London’s second largest religion. 38% of England’s Muslims live in London, where they represent 12.4% of the population.
There is a Jewish community in London which is very successful all across the city, there are many businesses, synagogues and community centres. London ranks thirteenth in the world as a Jewish population centre and over two-thirds of British Jews live in it.
