London

In this book I will present a few soccer stadiums in London. I decided to write about this topic because it’s very interesting for me because I like soccer. At the beginning of the book, I give you a tour in London.

London is the capital of England and the biggest city in England. In London there are eight million people. London is a very known city and people all over the world come to visit London.

There are a lot of historic places and beautiful sites in London: the Tower of London that is near the Themes, that was a prison many years ago, and today it’s a museum.

Another place is the London Eye – a giant wheel it’s 135 meter and it turns slowly and kids and adults like to get on it because it’s fun and you can see all of London from up there. Another beautiful place is Hyde Park. I heard about this place from my sister, who visited London during the Jewish Holidays.  My sister said that this a very special place, with lots of threes and roads to walk. she said: people walk in the paths, sit next to the lake, swim in it ,watch the ducks, and have picnics. People also ride bicycles in the park. There is a special memorial site in the park for Princess Diana, Princess of Wales, who was married to Prince Charles and was killed in a car accident. People from all over the world come to this place to honor Princess Diana and kids run in the small pool that is part of this place. My sister said that it was exciting to learn about Princess Diana and to see how much people care about her.

My sister also visited Harry Potter Park. near London. MY sister loves Harry Potter: she loves to read the books and watch the movies. In the Harry Potter park you can see the cloths that the actors wear in the movies, the affects they use in the movie, and other interesting things from the movie.

In London there are a lot of people from different religions and spoken languages. The formal language is English and the main religion is Christianity. There is a queen in London. She is very old and her name is Elizabeth. She has two sons, Prince Charles and Prince William. They live in Buckingham palace.  In London, there are a lot of sports activities: the famous sport in London is soccer. The soccer invented more than 800 years. In London, there are a few soccer teams that are called after different neighborhoods, like Chelsea, Arsenal, Totenham and West ham and there is a few famous soccer stadiums: Wembley stadium. The stadium hosts major football matches including home matches of the England national football team, and the FA Cup Final. It opened in 2007. It is close to baker street. Another famous stadium is Stamford Bridge. It opened in 1877 and it is the home ground of Chelsea since 1905.  The London stadium, which is also known as the Olympic stadium is another famous stadium in London. It was constructed to serve as the home stadium for the 2012 summer Olympics and Paralympics. It was recently  renovated as a multi-purpose stadium, with its primary tenants being West Ham. I chose to write about the soccer stadiums, because I like soccer and I would like to travel to London and visit the stadiums. I also heard from my sister about the beautiful parks in London and I would like to visit them as well. In addition to the Hyde Park I mentioned above, there os Regent’s park that contains London Zoo, which is the world’s oldest scientific zoo. other smaller parks my sister told me about is Green Park and St.James Park. My sister told me that she and my mother had a nice breakfast there. People like to have coffee, eat fruits and watch the birds in the park. they take a nice walk in the park and enjoy the view.

London sounds like a very interesting and fun place and I want to visit it in the future.
