I can’t believe it is finally over, the war. Maybe now we can live in peace and start being better people.

I’m so glad to come back home after all this time, I’ve missed my family so much and I just can’t wait to see them. I wonder how Mother feels now, she must be destroyed with everything that happened. I miss my brother, my only brother – Larry, I couldn’t wish for a better brother than him and now I lost him forever. Who will make me laugh now? Who will help me when I need an advice? Just the thought about him makes me feel I don’t deserve the life I have, I don’t deserve to be alive.

When I entered the house I felt like nothing has changed. Larry’s room was still the same, mother looked the same and so was my father. Everything looked the same but it really wasn’t. After an hour or two talking to mother it got to me, the feeling Larry will never come back. Poor mother she still does not understand Larry is dead!
