A Covering For the Mizbach

Hashed tells Moshe to tell Elazer to make a covering for the Mizbach out of the fire pans used by the rebells. These fire pans are holy,because they were used for work of Hashem 1.שהרי עשאום לכלי שרת,and therefor can not be used for pleasure.  The covering  will remind Beni Yisreal not to be like Korach and His rebells 2.וְלֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֤ה כְקֹ֙רַח֙ וְכַ֣עֲדָת֔וֹ and that there will never be an argument like Korachs again, where on person is 100% right (Moshe), and one person its 100% wrong (Korach). Elazer was chosen to do this special god because it is dirty work, not meant for a Kohen Gadol, and it would be mean id Ahron did this because he was involved with the rebells death.

Complaining never leads to good:

Beni Ysireal are upset that the rebells have been killed. They complain to Moshe and Ahron that they are “Causing the nation of Hashem to die.” At the Ahel Moaid Hashem hears this and decides to eat or destroy Beni Yisreal for their complaining. 4.וַאֲכַלֶּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם כְּרָ֑גַע, Hashem tells Moshe and Ahron  to separate themselves from Beni Yisreal, because they did nothing wrong. Moshe and Ahron don’t like this and fall on their faces in tefilah for Beni Yisreal 5. וַֽיִּפְּל֖וּ עַל־פְּנֵיהֶֽם

Will Moshe and Ahron save Beni Yisreal from Hashem’s plauge?

The Stick Challenge:

There will be a contest to see who is the right Kohen Godal! Hashem makes a plan to prove Ahron is the right Kohen Gadol. Each leader will pick a stick and write their name and shevet on it 8.אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־שְׁמ֔וֹ תִּכְתֹּ֖ב עַל־מַטֵּֽהוּ. They will leave them in the Ahel Moaid overnight. Ahron’s stick will be in the middle so no one can say that he was closer to the scene, and therefor cheated. Who’s ever stick grow flowers  will be the Kohen Gadol 9. וְהָיָ֗ה הָאִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶבְחַר־בּ֖וֹ מַטֵּ֣הוּ יִפְרָ֑ח. Who will win?

In the morning Ahron’s matah sprouts flowers. Not only that it also was budding and growing almonds at the same time 8.וַיֹּ֤צֵֽא פֶ֙רַח֙ וַיָּ֣צֵֽץ צִ֔יץ וַיִּגְמֹ֖ל שְׁקֵדִֽיםWhat a miracle! Not to mention it was a dead stick. 9. למה שקדים- Why almonds? Almonds are the fastest growing trees in the world. So to if anyone tries to argue with the Kohanim their punishment will be fast. Moshe shows Beni Yisreal the mircle. Ahrons stick will now always remain in the Mishkan for a reminder to stop rebelling. Beni Yisreal say that they don’t want to get punished anymore from going near the Mishkan, so they want to know where they are allowed to go, and where they can’t.
