Mud Day in Tel Aviv, 2018

We were walking towards the sea, admiring the birds, the bees and the beetles

When suddenly they appeared – the first of the mud people!

Then more and more

Began to pour

With mud on their faces,

And all other places

We  bid them good day

And went on our way

By twelve or twelve thirty

They were all very dirty

But happy as pie,

I keep wondering why.

Finally leaving their mark

All over the park.
