I had to make a  decision on what i would like to learn for my Genius Project, i picked something that has always been a big deal to me .  I’m so ready to graduate high school but not before i learn cursive handwriting. Learning Cursive has always been a goal of mine ever since i turned 16 and had to sign for my health card and could not do my signature .I really hoped that cursive would be taught during my time at elementary but i learned it was no longer part of the learning curriculum. From this Genius project i hope i can write The whole alphabet in cursive and my name properly, at the end i hope i can write everything in cursive. The first steps i am going to take , is learning the alphabet. I will print off and outline of the alphabet in cursive and keep practicing it. I think the most challenging thing is going to be getting used to not lifting my pencils while writing , i will have to get used to letting the pencil flow.

Since my last post i have learned ways that are easiest to complete my goal. Like starting to learn cursive lowercase first then upper case will make writing much easier. I started by practicing my name i did not get a chance to get the printable worksheets so i just looked at the letter and went with it. I can properly write my first and last name in cursive, if only i could re-sign my health card. My next goal is to get those printable worksheets so i can work on the lower case alphabet .
