Once upon a time there was a lion named Sammy,

Sammy didn’t like how the animals behaved in his father’s kingdom – hunting, assaulting a threatening each otner. He thought that this behavior is wrong and violent. He thought of revolting his father’s way of ruling the kingdom was wrong. So, he wanted him to change his decisions about running the kingdom.

But it wasn’t an easy decision for example, what to eat for breakfast or what to do in the afternoon. It was a decision that the whole kingdom was depended on. Therefore it was a decision that needed a lot of thinking. It took Sammy a few days to think about this. Sammy decided that he should protest and offered his best friends to join him. At first, they thought it was a bad idea because they were afraid of Sammy’s father, but after a lot of persuasions Sammy managed to convince them.

Sammy and his friends prepared a big demonstration but in the middle of the preparation his father found out about the demonstration and invited Sammy for a talk. “Why are you thinking of making a demonstration?” asked his father “I think we need to change the rules” said Sammy with a serious face. “What rules?” asked his father. “The rules of the kingdom’s behavior” said Sammy. “Why do you think that we need to change the rules?” asked Sammy’s father. “Because everybody lives in fear. You need the animals to respect you and not to be afraid of you”, Said Sammy. “The fear helps me rule” said Sammy’s father. “The respect will help you much more!”

Sammy tried to turn to his father’s heart.  “I w

about this”.  Said Sammy’s father. And like he promised

ill think , after 2 days, he gathered the whole kingdom and began to speak.

“a few days ago, my son turned to me and asked for something ” he looked at Sammy and resumed his speech. “He asked me to rule the kingdom with dignity, and not with fear, well… I thought about it and I made a decision”.

Everyone held their breath, nobody wanted to miss the decision. “I decided to respect myself”. Everyone cheered, clapped and laughed. And Sammy smiled and nodded to his father gratefully.
