The last song talk about the love and forgiveness between on person that are special for you. In the book is talk about the Ronnie life. Ronnie Miller has spent the last three years not speaking to her father because of his decision to leave the family. However, Ronnie finds herself forced to spend the entire summer at her father’s home. In the fist time Ronnie does all to avoid her dad going with her new friend on the beach. Steve Miller was sick he has cancer in the stomach, but he doesn’t want his children know about his cancer. Jonah Miller is the little Ronnie’s brother. Jonah was a good kid, and he was so excited to stay with his father during the summer.
In the beginning, Ronnie spends as much time away from the house as possible. Ronnie’s new friend who was a girl with her age who is also struggling with parental issues. However, when Ronnie’s new friend boyfriend, he wanted to kiss Ronnie. Ronnie’s friend saw that, so she doing something to put in trouble a
Ronnie. When Ronnie have another shoplifting charge, her third in recent years. She doesn’t has another choice only to ask to her father for help, and she tries to get everyone to believe that she did nothing wrong.
A short time later, Ronnie’s father shows her a nest of turtle eggs. Ronnie becomes obsessed with the nest, frightened that a raccoon might attempt to eat the eggs before they emerge. She spend several days slepping beside the nest to protect it. One day she go to the aquarium to ask for help to protect the turtle to place a cage over the nest to protect it. In that day she met Will. Will was a boy who was a volunteer in the aquarium. That night Will decide to spend the night with Ronnie to protect the nest.
After that day Ronnie and Will spend more time together, and have some trouble about their relationship and his family.On the day that the turtle eggs hatch, Ronnie discovers that her father is dying from stomach cancer. Ronnie is devastated by this news, especially due to the fact that she did not speak to him for such a long time. When Ronnie’s mother comes to take her back to New York, Ronnie makes the decision to stay with her father and help him through the final stages of the illness. During that course Ronnie drove everyone away including Will for devoting time to his dad.
Ronnie finishes a song her father had been writing before his illness forced him to stop. Ronnie begins playing for her father each day as the cancer slowly takes away his life. After her father’s death, Ronnie returns to New York and auditions to attend Julliard. Will, whom Ronnie thought was gone from her life for good, comes to New York to attend school and to be close to her.

Description of the main characters
Ronnie Miller.
Ronnie Miller is the daugther of Steve and Kim Miller. When Ronnie was younger, she began to play piano and she was very good in that. Ronnie and her father also share one thing in common they like the music and play piano. They started to wrote compisition together. All of this ended when Steve leave the family, she stopped to play piano and wrote the compositions. She blame her father for the destruction of the family and stopped talking to him for three years. During the summer when she was with her father, she start seeing and thinking another way that she was angry. She start to forgiven her father and begins to mature. Also, she start to believe in the love.
Steve Miller.
Steve Miller is a complicated man who never learned how to deal with his emotions. When Steve married with Kim, she helped him to learn how to deal with his emotions. When Steve is diagnosed with cancer, his first thought when his father deal to this and how difficult was. So he decide keep the secret for himself and don’t tell anyone. When his children come to visit him and spend the time of the summer with them. The secret start to being difficult to keep it, so he doesn’t have another choice to telling them his cancer.
Will
Will is a child who has grown up in this small coastal community. He was the typical popular guy what every girl want to be his girlfriend. Will was a rich guy, so he was in the high class. When Will fall in love with Ronnie, his parents doesn’t accept that love because Ronnie wasn’t like them.Will didn’t matter what there parents thought, and he continued to be with Ronnie. During the time they relationship start to have some troubles. Their relationship doesn’t broke, but they spend a while to being alone to thinking.

Recommendation
I think other people should read this book because it was interesting and you involve with the characteres and the history. Also, this book have a good description about to forgive, spend more time with yours and love. This book give you a message to spend and appraise the time with your family or your friends because you can’t know how many time they can stay with you.
