Hagai Cohen and I came early to Kinnernet 2015. We staked our claim to our favorite corner.

The un-conference board was still empty, waiting for eager Kinnerters to add their workshops.
Would it soon be replete with eclectic and stimulating topics?

I added my two cents’ worth.
Would the workshop on success be successful? Would anyone show up?

Would couples happily use the ‘orgasmulator’ to stimulate one another, without risking transfer of body fluids and disease?
Would this be the orgasmulator’s final journey (indeed it was, as it flew off the roof of the car on the trip back). RIP, orgasmulator!

Yedid taught me to ride the ‘airwheel’.
Would I succeed?
Would the beads grow fat and prosper?
Would they suck arms like colorful quicksand?

Would Rony’s cake survive 250 very hungry people?

After feeling the out-of-body experience of appearing to be in someone else’s body, would reality ever appear real again?

Would the passionate robot, invented by cool soldiers in the army, invite me to Mahanet next year?

Would the solution to peace and brotherhood between Jews and the Palestinians be right around the corner?

We stood in trepidation.
The future of Kinnernets Barcelona was in jeopardy.
Would David survive the fall?

In the end, our prayers were answered.
It did not rain.

We made friends with new people.
Akram brought us hope from Nablus.

We learned the secrets of tehini and coffee.

We came away with new friends and fresh perspectives.

And can’t wait for next year (we should be so lucky).
Thank you Yossi Vardi, organizers, new friends and old, for a memorable and, dare I say, amazing weekend.
