Once upon a time in King Arthur’s court a young knight raped a young and beautiful girl so the king wanted to kill him.
Luckily for him Arthur’s wife saied to him that if in one year he discovers what every woman wants he will be saved.
He started to ask every woman he met but everyone gave him a different answer (honour, love, money…)

One day outside a castle in the wood he sees 24 women dancing and singing but when he approaches they disappear as if by magic and there is just and old hag
He tells her his problem and she says to him that she knows the right answer but he has to grant any favour she might ask him in return

They go at the Court and he gives the answer that she told him so that every woman wants sovereignty over their husbands. All the women agree so he’s safe but in exchange he has to marry the hag

One the wedding night she’s upset because he’s repulsed by her.She tells him that she can be beautiful and unfaithful or ugly but loyal.
He says that the choice is hers and she’s very pleased;she asks him to kiss her promising both beauty and fidelity.
When he looks at her she’s a young and lovely woman and they live happily hereafter
MORAL AND COMMENT
I think that the moral of the story is that you have to love somebody despite of the way he or she looks like and you have to give to the person you love the opportunitie to take his own decisions.
I really like the story and the message that it gives ; the only thing that I didn’t like is that he wasn’t punished at all for the fact that he reaped a girl
