One day Nicholas, a young student, makes advance to Allison, a young pretty woman, wife of Nicholas’s teacher, John, and she promises him that they could meet later. But there is a parish clerk, named Absalon, that also desires Allison and hopes to win her love with gifts, but she’s in love with Nicholas. Later Nicholas and Allison make an elaborate plan. Nicholas pretends he’s had a biblical revelation, that’s there will be a terrible flood. He advises stocking three tubs with provisions and hanging  up them with ropes, so, when the floodwaters rise, they can just float away. The carpenter believes Nicholas and makes preparations, so ,when John fall asleep in his tub, Nicholas and Allison sneak out of theirs to have sex.

Meanwhile Absalon goes to the carpenther’s home to see if he can et a kiss from Allison. He says he will go away if she’ll just give him a kiss through the window. It’s dark and as a trick she sticks out her naked behind. He kisses it and ias enraged with this trick. So Absalon goes to the blacksmith and gets a hot iron to bring back to Allison’s. But this time is Nicholas who sticks his bare buttocks out the window to get it on the trickery only to be brended by the hot iron. All the uproar wakes the carpenter and his tub bars crashing through the house all the way down to the cellar.
