It was nighttime in the forest. Little badger went to wake up the king.

Lion, lion, come quickly.

Two goats are fighting. No one in the forest can get any sleep.

Lion took care of things. The forest slept.

Until the very next evening

Lion, lion, come quickly.

I am tired. What is it?

Three chickens are cackling their heads off. No one in the forest can get any sleep

Lion took care of things. The forest slept.

But the very next evening

Lion, lion, come quickly,

I am exhausted. Go away.

Ten rabbits are chewing carrots. No one in the forest can get any sleep.

Lion took care of things. The forest slept.

The very next evening

Lion, lion, come quickly.

Go away or I’ll take care of you too.

Twenty chipmunks are cracking nuts. No one in the forest can get any sleep

Go away or else.

Lion come right now. Come on Lion, get up. The forest needs sleep. Come on, wakey wakey, king of the forest.

Lion got up. He took care of things.

The forest didn’t sleep.

But the lion did.
