Mima Mounds- Geologic process final product

Physical weathering and erosion are two geologic processes that change Earth´s surface over time. Physical weathering changes Earth´s surface by pressuring materials and erosion changes Earth´s surface by taking away sediments. Evidence from the labs that supports my claim, physical weathering breaks materials such as when the sugar cube turned to a cylinder after getting shaked due to physical weathering and erosion from the wave erosion took sand from the beach and eroded it somewhere else. This evidence supports my claim that physical weathering and erosion change Earth´s surface because they break and move Earth´s landforms to make it look different.

My observations from the image is that Wind erosion can take away particles from the mounds which would slowly make all the mounds go away. Also during the lab research I saw different kinds of erosion which they all took away particles.

“Wind erosion is a natural process that moves soil from one location to another by wind power. It can cause significant economic and environmental damage.” stated NSW environment, energy, and science. This connects to the Mima Mounds because another body of soil could of eroded and it would rest in the area of Mima mounds and it build the mounds.

Wind keeps on blowing through the Mima mounds and starts slowly fading away due to wind. Also while wind erosion is processing other things could be happening to it. Such as an animal could be digging away at it to make it go away faster.

The Mima mounds now have very few mounds and are smaller. The Mima Mounds are fading away. Also the ecosystem the Mima Mounds have made is also getting destroyed.

A long time later the Mima Mounds are now gone as wind still blows through the land. The Mima Mounds eco system is now destroyed. The Mima Mounds is gone and the ecosystem might form somewhere else.
