the night witches is a nickname to the for the all female millitary aviators of the 588th “Night Bomber Regiment”. their ages are unknown.They are german ladies.
paragraph 1:
The squadrons were hastily trained in the town of Engels, near Stalingrad, and took off for the first venture on June 8, 1942. The tasks of the night-time devices were usually nocturnal bombings of convention areas, back-camps and supply bases. These bombs were not of great strategic importance, but their moral impact was considerable.
paragraph 2:
The witches of the night won a total of 23 “Soviet Hero” decorations and dozens of other honors. Two ministries, Katia Ryabova and Nadia Popova, embarked on 18 bombings in one night over Poland [1]. In total, they launched more than 24,000 sorties and dropped 23,000 tons of bombs. Most of the squadrons survived the war in the other life attended the last center on Berlin.
