So most people had a regular sunday, I didn’t. I had to walk three miles. That’s right the three whole intire miles. But it was for a good cause. It was for cancer and not just to support it either, it was for my aunt sandy who had passed away from it recently. The walk was actually dedicated to sandy. The name of the walk was “Making Strides”.
But anyway to get to the walk you had to pick three places to park we picked the middle school. Now the walk was all the way in point pleasant so it wasn’t thorne. So it took us awhile to get their becuase we were lost. We had to wait there for the bus to come and get us. So we finally boarded the bus and it was a handicap bus so there weren’t many seats. My brother and I had to sit next to each other and since he’s a junior and a football player I had to sit on the seat belt and mother sat in the front and made friends the the bus driver. All I could think about is that seat belt pressing on my tailbone.
“Ughhhh”I whispered to myself.
While we were on the bus my uncle texted me and said he would try and register us. We were still one the bus when it came to a traffic light and two ladies wanted to get off and everybody else exited off when it wasn’t even the stop!
Well I guess we should get off to? As my mother questioned herself.
The bus driver said you don’t have to. Then my mother said he could go to get some more people that were waiting.
We got to the walk and we were shocked at the number of people that were there. As we walked our three miles we looked at the other shirts they had one for their loved ones. It was so cold outside I tried to think warm thoughts but it didn’t work but as I walked I got warmer. We almost there I knew that because there people cheering us one and there was big sign that said almost there. My cousin’s, Uncle, brother, mother, and other friend’s of sandy’s and I could see were we started. That meant only one thing we’re almost finished. So we walked and walked and finally finished it. I couldn’t believe it I finished a three mile walk for cancer. We started our walk of thought’s of sandy and finished with the stories of thousands in our hearts.
