Activating your Roku device

Follow the Quick Start Guide that came with your Roku device.

For additional assistance setting up your Roku device, take a look at the Setup and Troubleshooting section of this Roku support site.

Complete the on-screen instructions to connect your own Roku device to the internet.

Once connected, your Roku device may download new applications.

Your Roku apparatus will then show a hyperlink code; e.g.”XD12G”
Create a note of the link code and visit the site roku.com/link in your computer or mobile device.

Note: When inputting roku.com/link in your internet browser, then type it correctly to avoid fraudulent websites.

On the Site, enter the link code and click on Submit.

Important: You must complete all the measures on the site before return to your own Roku device otherwise your Roku apparatus will not be activated.

When creating a new Roku account, you will be asked to offer a payment process. The payment method permits you to purchase subscriptions to stations, rent or buy movies and TV shows, or make purchases in the Roku Channel Store. Adding a payment method does not result in any fees to your account. You will only be billed after moving through the additional steps required to make a purchase; e.g. when signing-up to get a subscription, either leasing or purchasing a movie or TV show, or adding a channel from the Roku Channel Store.

As soon as you’ve completed the activation process your own Roku device will be ready to work with.
