Describing the pictures:

Mary (the main character) arrives late at a windy night with the help of a stranger that gave her a ride to the inn.

she knocks on the door to be welcomed by her uncle Josh, the owner of the Jamaica inn.

As mary was working as a bartender the night her uncle Josh was having some clients over, she was getting a disrespectful treatment from Josh’s clients. She yelled at her uncle and left the bar and went straight to her bed.

Mary and Jem( Josh’s brother) were driving a car when Mary started asking Jem about his past, she hinted that he is a murderer that likes to kill people by drowning. Jem angry from the harsh accusations, raised his voice on Mary and yelled:”So you think I wreck ships, do you, and stand on the shore and watch them drown? and then put my hands into their pockets afterwards, when they’re swollen with water?”

Mary and Jem rode on their horses down the river. suddenly Mary stopped and told Jem that she wants to join him in his life. Jem was a bit surprised and told her that these life will be tough. Mary said she is ready to take the risk, and so they both continued their ride across the river to start a new life.
