Avi Limoey was born  in Jerusalem in 28.10.1977 to Zion and Ruhama 

And was named Avraham after his two grandfathers

He studied in Himelfarb school and studied there film making and communication

He loved to watch movies, to film and to write movie scripts.

While he was in elementary school he joined Bnei Akiva and became a counselor there and was loved by all Bnei Akiva members

He was known as a open minded and sensitive person that knows how to make people laugh

In march 1996 he was drafted to idf and volunteered to the Egoz commando unit.

After 6 month in there avi became a basic training drill instructor here he also demonstrated his leadership skills and was liked by the soldiers

After that he wanted to serve more actively and joined a combat unit going in to Lebanon

On Tuesday the 27.5.1998 , while he was 21 years old, he went on a patrol with his fellow soldiers in Lebanon and next to hula village the patrol was hit by road bombs. Avi was hit and he died on the spot

Avi was buried in military cemetery in mount Herzel  in Jerusalem
