What is augmented reality and how can we use it in the classroom?

Think of augmented reality as a way to combine technology and your true environment.  Unlike virtual reality, it doesn’t bring us any place different…it just adds to what we see around us.

How Does It Work?

Devices use GPS and the compass. When you scan a trigger image, something else appears in your view.

You have most likely used augmented reality!  Think of Pokemon Go! or a Heads Up display in a car.
