1. Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated on November 4, 1995.

2. Rabin’s assassination took place in Kings of Israel Square in Tel Aviv.

3. Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated by Yigal Amir, who opposed Rabin’s political path and especially his signing of the agreements.

4. Following the assassination, a day of remembrance was set for Yitzhak Rabin, beginning each year on the twelfth day of Cheshvan.

5.Many demonstrations and protests took place throughout the country following the assassination of Rabin.

6.Yigal Amir assassinated Rabin because he did not agree with his views and is currently serving a life sentence and another six years in prison at Rimonim Prison in Sharon.
