Acid rain happens when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. It mainly affects trees making them die. But it also affect some food chains because it kills phytoplankton which is a source for animals that live in ponds with phytoplankton.

It started getting recognized in the 1950s and its located

all around the world but mainly in north eastern united states, eastern Europe, and now beginning in some parts of china and India.

Its not necessarily humans that are affected by acid rain as it is trees and animals Trees are being affected by acid rain mainly because it gets into the ground and prevents it from growing properly. It also causes phytoplankton in lakes to die which effects the insects which effects other animals who eat insects and it ruins the entire food chain giving them less food to survive.

My solution is to reduce using your vehicle as much as possible.

It will help by reducing bad and useless emissions into the air  that we don’t need

We don’t need organizations to stop acid rain at all. It all revolves around the community if they spend less time using their car or start taking public transportation (after covid of course) or even use an electric car they can help.

If people stop producing gas then the acid rain won’t have any chemicals to produce anymore

This is the best solution because if we stop using cars as much it wont produce as much emissions making acid rain stop and not ruin the trees and phytoplankton.
