Before Writing:

Translate the vocabulary on p. 11 in your book Imagine.
Read Ed`s Blog and Watch the video about the Exclusion Zone of Chyrnobil.
Read the guidelines and the rubrics of the assignment.

After you finish writing, save your work and upload your link to a padlet that will be in the classroom. Don`t forget to write your name and your grade in the title.

1.Task#1-Following Ed Stafford`s footsteps:

Choose any date between 2nd April 2008 – 9th August 2010. Imagine book pages 11-14 (Ed’s Blog). Imagine you were going together with Ed to the trip in the amazon rainforest. Write 3 blog entries about your trip.Use the words in the book Imagine p. 11 to describe your experience.

1^st entry-Preparation for the trip

*What would you want or need to know to help you prepare for the trip?
*What problems do you think you might have?
*What supplies would you bring? Think about: food, sleep,
health, safety and communication.
*Would you want other people to go with you? Who? Why?
2nd entry– Write about the trip, the challenges, and adventures. Write about something that happened on the expedition through the Amazon.

3^rd entry-Reflection on the trip. Writing the last entry when you came back home and reflecting about the things that happened.

*Was it worth the money?

*Did you enjoy the trip?

*What would you do differently next time?

*Would you go again to the Amazon or not? Explain.

Add pictures to your blog page to make it more interesting and attractive for your readers.

2.Task#2 Visiting the Exclusion Zone of Chernobyl.

Imagine that you are a blogger who is visiting the “Exclusion Zone” of Chernobyl, Ukraine. Watch the video ” Chernobyl, is it safe?” again and write 3 blog entries about your visit. Use the words in the book Imagine p. 11 to describe your experience.

3. Task#3-Making a Video Vlog

Imagine that you are a Vloger who wants to make a video about one of the places that we learned about (The Amazon rainforest/The Exclusion Zone of Chernobyl). Choose one place, and tell your viewers about the preperations for your trip.

1st video-Preparations

3^rd video-Reflection of the trip. Film the last video when you came back home and you are reflecting about the things that happened.

*Would you go again to this place or not, Explain.

In your video you must use the vocabulary from Unit 1 in the book Imgine, page 11.

Checklist

I brainstormed and organized my ideas.

I started with a topic sentence/the main idea.
I connected my writing to what was happening on the expedition(Ed`s blog or the Video of Exclusion Zone).
I used the Past Simple and Past Progressive to describe the events.

I used correct pronouns and prepositions.
