My name is Jimmy. I’m thirteen years old. I go to secondary school in London. I’m different from the rest, because I can’t walk. I use a wheelchair. I have never been very popular. Actually,  I never had any friends. I always felt lonely and isolated. But it all changed when a new boy Jacob appeared in our class.

To my surprise he approched me and he sat next to me. I had always been alone so I was very happy.

The rest of the class was also surprised. We started talking. It turned out that we both like drawing. From that moment we have been friends forever.

3

We started seeing each other after school to draw and talk.

Other classmates noticed our friendship and started

talking to us as well. They told me didn’t know how to talk to me before, that they felt awkward or strange.

4

Jacob showed them that I’m no different from the rest and I’m the same as everyone else.

Despite who we are, we should respect each other!
