It was 1 a.m. A scream echoed through the hallway. Someone was yelling her name and asking for help. There was a young man crying and yelling hysterically, the blood was coming from the cut on his shoulder. He looked desperate after seeing the detective and he moved towards her but the officer started talking.
“Sir, please calm down. What happened?”
But he wasn’t listening; his only focus was Detective Wilson.
“I’m listening please calm down and tell me what happened?”
“She is going to kill me. Help me please.”
“Who?”
“ALICE! She is after me, I didn’t do anything wrong?”

“Okay, let’s get you to the interrogation room and look at your scars.”
She said as calmly as possible. He nodded.
After taking care of his scars, Detective sat in front of him.
“So tell me what happened after I left the house?”
“I came back to the living room but she was gone. I thought she went to the police station with you. When she came back I asked her what was wrong and she didn’t say anything. I entered the kitchen and saw her laughing out loud insanely.
‘Are you okay, did something happen in the police station?’
I was worried but right after I said that she stopped laughing and got something from one of the drawers.

‘Police officer? Did you really think I went there?’
She said that in such a cold manner.
‘You guys are all the same.’
I have never seen her like this she looked like she got murder in her mind. I backed up even more.
‘You know what is wrong with you two? You two never consider the other person’s feelings. It was always about you, wasn’t it?’
I freaked out and started running to the exit. She started walking after me and tried to stab me. I ran off as fast as I could. I ran 2 miles and now, we are here.”
“Okay, did you see Alice coming after you?”
“No, but she yelled after me.”
“Okay, stay here we are going to catch Alice.”

He nodded in response. While she was walking towards the door she leaned into the guard’s ear and whispered.
“Don’t let him go.”
The officer got the message and nodded in response.
After gathering up a team they went to the Alice’s house. They made sure she was still in there when the Initiator police came. He got all armored up and sent to talk to Alice.
“I’ll only talk to Detective Wilson.”
When she yelled this, the Detective was quite surprised because it seems like Alice also felt a connection.
They gave her a few little weapons to hide. Sheriff told her to be careful and asked her if she needs or wants anything. She told him to take care of her cat.

Never the last she took one of the megaphones and yelled.
“Alice, I know you are in there, open the door please. I’m not armed and I don’t have any guns with me.”
She slowly started to walk towards the door.
“I’m walking to the door right now, do not shoot.”
She left the megaphone on the ground and knocked on the door three times. She heard walking noises coming from inside of the house. She pressed her head against the wooden door.
“Alice, please let me talk to you. You know I won’t hurt you. So please…”
The door cracked open a few seconds later. She didn’t look back to the cops surrounding them.
She got inside. She walked the same path she took that morning but now everything was either broken or

covered in bloody hand prints. It was dead silent.
“Hello I-”
Right after she said that the song Once There Was A Time by Tom Jones blasted through the walls. She walked into the living room where the voice was coming from. She got up and walked towards the detective, she didn’t back up which was impressive to Alice.
She felt like a normal person for a second, someone people aren’t scared of. She came so close that detective was able to see all of her features and Alice could kill her easily if she want to but instead she directed a question at her.
“What is your name ‘Detective Wilson’?”
“Jane. Jane Wilson”
“Jane, why aren’t you scared of me like all of the others?”

She placed her knife under the detective’s chin to see if she is going to react or not. She didn’t even blink.
“Because I know how you feel.”
She said with a confident look in her eyes. That made Alice smile with the side of her mouth.
“Really, how?”
“He broke your heart and made you miserable.”
Alice looked away for a second before looking into Jane’s eyes again and chose her next words.
“You and I are not the same, you are probably crying over it while I’m out here killing someone for it!”
Detective replied stone cold toned.
“No. We are not. I maybe cried while watching soap operas and you find it pathetic. But I find your motions taking over and ‘killing’ a guy just because he lied to

you? I mean that’s just sad.”
Alice’s face turned red and growled with anger looking furiously into the detective’s eyes. Right at the beat of the song she flipped the knife and smacked the detective’s face with the knife’s handle. She hit her so hard the detective stumbled and fell. Alice screamed.
“WE ARE NOT THE SAME!”
Alice threw the vase. Detective couldn’t dodged. Alice took the chance and sat on top of Jane and placed her hand around Detective’s throat and started choking her. Alice spoke.
“Aw.. Honey don’t worry I’m not going to use my knife it would be a shame to destroy this perfect body and face.”
She was trying to reach for the knife that had been placed into her shoe. After struggling to take it out the detective clutched the knife and stabbed Alice. She

screamed with pain. Jane ran to the other side of the room holding the knife ready to fight back. Alice stood up stumbling trying to stop the blood flow by pressing her hand on to her left arm. She looked pissed and walked to Jane.
“I’m going to kill you!”
She said in such a determined way but Jane stood still.
Jane was trying to defend herself. She pushed Alice aside and ran towards the exit but Alice wasn’t going after her. She got worried that she unintentionally hurt and looked back. She stopped. Alice was pointing a gun at Jane -it was the same gun she killed Jacob Ross with. Jane turned to Alice calmly, she dropped the knife in her hand and looked at Alice.
Alice didn’t hesitate and Jane didn’t try to convince her not to shoot. Alice looked dead in the eye while pulling the trigger. Bullet shone through the darkness and hit Detective Jane Wilson. She stumbled, put her hand on the place the bullet hit. She looked at Alice with

misery in her eyes right before collapsing on the floor.
Alice looked at the woman struggling for her life and the gun in her hand. She realized what she had done. She realized she had killed the only person who had  trusted her, the only one who cared for her deeply, loved her, the only person who had understood her and wasn’t scared of her even when she was about to kill her.
She realized what she had just lost. She turned the gun pointing at herself with a rage of regret. She took a last glance at Jane but she had stopped moving, her empty emotionless eyes were looking directly at Alice.
Accompanied by the voices of the police trying to get in the house and the repeating song; another gunshot echoed through the empty, lifeless house.
By the time cops got in the house there was nothing to save.
