AURORA

An aurora is a natural light display in Earth’s sky, predominantly seen in high-latitude regions. Charged particles flowing from the sun hit molecules high in the Earth’s atmosphere, and this collision causes the molecules to glow, creating the aurora. It is usually seen in the northern hemisphere and can be watched from here. The ideal timing of the northern lights is observed between September and March.  In some areas, such as Alaska or Greenland, you can see the northern lights on many nights of the year. To get the best views of the northern lights, you need to wait until the night is dark and the sky is clear. Aurora is definitely among the beauties that must be seen.
