Norway

This is the Norwegian flag. Norway was before a part Denmark and was called Denmark-Norway. Then, after the Napolion war, Sweden`s team won over Denmark and Denmark gave Norway kind of as a “gift” to Sweden. After a while (in 17th of may 1814) some of Norways richest men got together in Eidsvoll (a Norwegian city) and made a constitution. Even though Norway could now technically be their own country plans quickly changed because sweden wanted Norway back. After 100 years ww1 started and Norway saw their chance to finally be their own country. 17th of May is today the national-day of Norway, and every year we eat icecream and wear the national dress of norway (Bunad) to celebrate that Norway is our own democratic country.

The greenhouse effect is a process that occurs when gases in the earth’s atmosphere trap heat from the sun. This process makes the planet much hotter than it would be without an atmosphere. The Greenhouse effect works like a greenhouse, a greenhouse stays warm inside even during the winter. During the day, sunlight enters the greenhouse and heats the plants and the air inside. It gets colder outside at night, but the greenhouse stays warm enough inside.
The same thing happens with the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is one of the things that makes the Earth a comfortable place to live.
